About the New Issue

Dwarf Cichlids of the genus Pelvicachromis originate from West Africa and are enduring, colorful fishes well suited to aquarium life. The November/December issue travels to Cameroon to bring back an in-depth examination of the wide range of species and vivid local morphs, some readily available in the aquarium trade, others not so much! One could argue that there’s a “Krib” for every aquarist…and, yes, even the fish many aquarists still know as a “Krib” or “Kribensis” is something altogether different! We’ll sort it out for you, all in this forthcoming issue!

Oh, and yes, the Blue-Eyed Pleco, Panaque cochliodon, has been successfully bred and the authors have furnished full documentation and details. You’ll also journey into the jungle in search of Aspidoras spp., meet a breathtaking Guatemalan version of the Salvini cichlid, discover how Fahaka Puffers have been bred, go on a marathon road trip through Germany as fishkeepers shuttle big cichlids around the country from fishroom to fishroom, and so much more!

If you’re not a subscriber or your subscription has lapsed, subscribe by September 15th to ensure you’re on the list to receive Exploring Pelvicachromis! Not sure where your subscription status stands? Log in to our subscriber services page to find out!
