CHICAGO (August 4, 2015)—The World Pet Association (WPA) announces the second annual Aquatic Experience Aquascaping Live! Contest during its third annual Aquatic Experience – Chicago, Nov. 6-8, 2015. The competition is sanctioned and presented by The Aquatic Gardeners Association (AGA) and sponsored by Fluval. Contestants compete in two categories (Small or Large Tank) for $3,900 dollars in prize money, and all competitors receive free admission to the show floor—experiencing “everything aquatic under one roof” at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center.

Registration for individual Small Tank entries will be accepted until the 25 spaces are filled, and the Large Tank category is an AGA Team Invitational, with six final entries chosen from all submissions. Aquatic Experience – Chicago is the first show in industry history to combine everything aquatic under one roof, from saltwater and freshwater fish to pond and aquatic plants. A thriving show floor of exhibitors showcases the latest in aquatic trends and products, and this year’s educational seminars on hobbyist and retail topics will feature Keynote Speaker Frank Reece of Blue Zoo, plus aquatic experts George Blasiola, Heiko Bleher, Charles Delbeek, Patrick Donston, Hans-Georg Evers, Sanjay Joshi, Oliver Knott, Paul Loiselle, Oliver Lucanus, Steve Lundblad, Joe Olenik, Julian Sprung, Tony Vargas and Greg Wittstock. Seminar topics include: solving common fish health problems; aquarium installation and maintenance; successful pond building; ornamental fish of South America; the unique biology of freshwater fish; live aquascaping; Madagascar’s endemic fishes; and managing reef aquariums. Show attendees will also experience the world’s only traveling gator experience, Gator Encounters, and see displays of fish from around the world.
