There isn’t much information available to go on, which is admittedly not the norm when a new product is launched, but Rack Cross of the River Life YouTube Channel teamed up with independent aquarium retailer Sea Oddities (Kingsport, TN) to do an in-depth unboxing video that reveals what you’ll find in the kit. It includes:

  • 13-gallon Glass Aquarium (24.25″ x 16.625″ x 8.375″ inches per other Aqueon 13 gallon kits)
  • Low Profile LED Full Hood
  • QuietFlow LED Filter
  • Submersible Heater
  • Thermometer
  • 10 lbs. of natural colored gravel
  • Malaysian Driftwood
  • Kent Marine’s Blackwater Expert Water Conditioner
  • Net
  • Water Conditioner
  • Flake Food
  • Setup Guide
  • $20.000 mail-in rebate when you purchase the Rainforest Conservation Kit and at least $20.00 of Rio Negro Fish

Plus, according to Rack Cross, Aqueon is giving 10% of the net sales of these kits to Project Piaba. So perhaps the “Buy a Fish, Save a Tree” slogan has become “Buy an Aquarium, Save Several Trees”?

We’re not sure where you’ll find this interesting aquarium kit, but Project Piaba’s Store Locator may be a good start on your holiday shopping expedition. If you happen to see this kit at your LFS, or carry it in your shop, we encourage you to post the store’s details in the comment so fellow aquarists can find them!
