Waterbox recommends these magnetic algae scrapers were designed for every-other-day type usage and recommends removing these scrapers from the aquarium and rinsing them after use. Waterbox also strongly recommends storing the dry and wet sides separately, as the magnets are very strong and could be difficult to separate.

The small model does not include the removable scraper attachment and is approximately rated for small aquariums up to those in the 3-4 foot length. The large model is recommended for 3-4 foot tanks up to 7-8 feet. A chart of recommendations is available on the Waterbox website, and a medium model is planned to round out the algae scraper line in the future. Replacement components should start to be available around May 2022.
